As I mentioned above Kroger Co. is a really big company. Kroger has a lot of subsidiary companies under them but they are not similar. Kroger Co. being a parent company does regulate all but all these subsidiary companies have their own uniques and targets competition with particular retailers. Like Fred Meyer competing with Target and Walmart while QFC competing with Whole Foods, can be taken as examples. Kroger despite being a parent company has left these companies to operate on their own will.

In simple words for me, Kroger is an army of small companies. But what’s more interesting is that these companies are pretty independent. Other than Kroger being the parent company, and the companies following the Kroger’s theme, there is not much in common. Due to this versatility, it is hard to regulate all, which is why they needed GreatPeople to help their awesome employees. And if you have to run something so big, you need to take care of its assets.
